System builders conform to EU environmental regulations with Performance A and Performance C
Hildesheim, July 8th 2015 - Since July 1st 2014, newly built complete PC systems have to conform to EU Regulation 617/2013 — better known as ErP2014. This strictly regulates the energy efficiency of built-in power supplies. Xilence has paid close very close attention during the development of its new PSU series Performance A and Performance C, to make sure it complies with the new EU regulation. Customers of Xilence now have the benefit of this legal certainty as well as other advantages.
Xilence have provided their power supplies in the Performance A and Performance C series with corresponding labels, that ensure compliance with all requirements of ErP2014 regulation and offer system integrators legal security without the need for their own costly efficiency tests. At the same time, Xilence products score with an extremely low RMA rate. This is made possible by a strict quality control that begins at the production locations. This approach is one of the many synergy effects of the tight bond between Xilence GmbH and the Listan Group. It simplified processes and saves more costs — which in turn is primarily beneficial to our customers.
Ultimately this is also beneficial to end users who install these ErP2014 compatible power supplies. Especially when you consider that these regulated Xilence power supplies operate with at least 82 percent efficiency, which clearly saves energy and pays off after only a few months of usage. Xilence power supplies in the Performance A and Performance C series thus score threefold: with legal certainty, with low RMA rates and with an environmentally friendly, cost-effective operation.
