Straight Power E8 and Pure Power L8 are worth their money

In issue 01/2012 German print magazine Hardwareluxx[printed] compared six power supplies from 550 to 730 Watts against another. One third of the contestants were be quiet! products, namely the Straight Power E8 with 580 Watts and the new Pure Power L8 with 730 Watts. Both of them were able to receive an award for good price-performance-ratio.

PCGH first to review new High-End fans

German print magazine PC Games Hardware are the first to review the brand new High-End fans called Dark Wings in their issue 12/11. The fans managed to impress the editors and received two awards as "top products" in both sizes, 120 mm and 140 mm.

Shadow Wings at PC Games Hardware

German print magazine PC Games Hardware were the first to get their hands on review samples of the new fan series from be quiet! called Shadow Wings. So they decided to publish a small review on these fans ahead of their printed issue. They liked all new fan models very much. Especially the 120 mm version with low speeds made an impression, since it set a new bar for low noise fans with stunning 0.1 Sone. It got rewarded as a "top product".

German Allround-PC gives a recommendation to Pure Power L8

Brand new Pure Power L8 series got recommended by German online-magazine Allround-PC. They liked it for its low loise nevel, cable management and high efficiency.

Computerbase recommends Pure Power L8

Germany's famous online magazine Computerbase is feared among manufacturers, since they are one of the few magazines to have a specialised Chroma testing rig. Normally, this is where you can tell the bad PSUs from the good ones. Recently, be quiet!'s Pure Power L8 with 530 Watts was able to impress the editors and managed to receive a recommendation in the end.

Comparison of 21 PSUs from 300 to 620 Watts

French online site gives gold award to Pure Power L8

French online-magazine Cowcotland decided to compare recent power supplies from various manufacturers against each other. So they took 21 power supplies ranging from 300 to 620 Watts and took them for a spin. Among them was on eof be quiet!'s new Pure Power L8 power supplies with 530 Watts. In the end it was one of the lucky ones to receive a gold award.

New Pure Power L8 got tested on a Chroma rig

PC-Max is one of the few magazines internationally, who can rely on their own power supply testing machinery from Chroma. Pure Power L8 with 630 Watts managed to leave a good impression, being hooked up to the monster machine.

bit-tech looks for best 600-W-PSU

British online magazine compares ten contestants

British editors from bit-tech.net wanted to know, which power supply might be the best in the 600 Watt range. So they picked up ten products an compared them against each other. be quiet!'s Dark Power Pro P9 with 650 Watts could impress very much in terms of stability, where it reached the maximum of 40 points. In the end it was rated with 89%.

“It was also pleasingly efficient at both half and full load, achieving 91 per cent and 90 per cent efficiency respectively. The PSU performed very well in our holdup tests too, as it was one of the few PSUs we tested that exceeded the recommended 17ms holdup time on both its 12V and 5V rails.”
