Straight Power 10 and Dark Rock Pro 3 in buyer's guide

Power supply and cooler from be quiet! recommended in build guide for 2017

For powering the PC in their buyer's guide 2017, the team of German website Hardwareluxx chose the be quiet! Straight Power 10 CM 500W. The editors highlight modular cable management and its 80Plus Gold certification. Additionally, Dark Rock Pro 3 is used to cool the Core i7-8700K processor. In the article they mention the two installed SilentWings fans with optimised noise characteristics.

Biggest AIO water cooler from be quiet! wins Top Award

The German website Technic3D has published a large comparison test of current AIO water cooling systems. be quiet is featured with both the Silent Loop 240mm and the Silent Loop 360mm. Both units are praised for the very quiet operation, thanks to the reverse-flow technology of the pump. The larger of the two cooling solutions also wins the Top Award.

The new Dutch tech blog TechGaming.nl has published a review of the be quiet! Silent Loop 280mm. The editor is impressed with the performance of this AIO water cooling kit, as well as the minimalistic design, although he recognizes this might not suit consumers who are going the RGB route. With a total score of 88% he recommends this cooler to everyone who's in the market for a no-nonsense AIO cooler.

Almost perfect AIO water cooler

The Danish reviewer Kim Monberg has published a review of the Silent Loop 360mm, and just like with the 240mm he loves this AIO water cooler. The performance is great, even for overclocked systems, while keeping fan noise down to a manageable level. Apart from some issues with the brackets, there is nothing to complain about this cooler, so it receives the Silver Award.

On the German website PC Games Hardware a review of the Pure Power 10 CM 500W from be quiet! was published. The team enjoys the 10th iteration of the Pure Power series. Compared to the version from last year, be quiet! was able to increase the efficiency even further thanks to DC-DC technology, active clamping circuit and a synchronous rectifier. In addition the manufacturer delivers the very quiet operation he is known for. Overall, the Pure Power 10 CM 500W thus scores a good 1.85 grade.

Computer Shopper reviews Silent Loop 360mm

Bigger equals better

UK-based Computer Shopper magazine has published a round-up of water coolers, including the be quiet! Silent Loop 360mm. They're not the biggest fan of the installation method, but once the cooler is in place, they admire the performance and low noise level of this unit. As much as they like the Silent Loop 360mm though, they would still recommend the Kraken X62 because of its easy installation and price. The Silent Loop 360mm receives a 4-out-of-5-star rating.

All-in-one water cooler from be quiet! in X299 review

The German website Allround-PC has published a comprehensive review of a new X299 motherboard from MSI. In the BIOS & Overclocking section, however, the team is also focusing on the cooling solution used in the test. In this case the be quiet! Silent Loop 360mm was installed. According to the editors, this all-in-one water cooling system is capable of keeping the temperatures of the Intel Core i9-7900X at bay and scores among other things with the three quiet Pure Wings 2 fans as well as the reverse flow technology, which keeps the noise of the pump to a minimum.

Water-cooling review features Pure Power 10 CM 400W, Pure Wings 2 PWM 120mm and Silent Loop 240mm

In his video review of the EK Fluid Gaming 240 AIO water cooler, German YouTuber Zenchillis Hardware Reviews features several components from be quiet!. While its test system is powered by the Pure Power 10 CM 400W, he also uses different fans on the radiator of the cooling solution for comparison. The Pure Wings 2 PWM 120mm impressed the YouTuber with a much quieter operation compared to their competitors. Ultimately, he compares the EK water cooling solution with the all-copper Silent Loop 240mm from be quiet!, which, according to Zenchili, delivers the same performance at a lower price and with less noise.

Recommended Award for AIO water cooler

The Dutch site Tech Testers has published a review of the be quiet! Silent Loop 360mm. The reviewer is very content with the cooling performance when installed on a Core i9-7900X platform. Performance is good, noise levels are low, and this AIO cooler has a great ease of use. This leads to a Recommended Award.

“It's not easy to cool the 10 cores of this Socket 2066 processor, but we're seeing comfortable temperatures. And we aren't even running the fans at the full 2000 rpm, we don't see a reason to. Overclockers have headroom in both temperature and fan speed, real freaks can opt for setting the PWM to 'quiet' and the normal user can just install this cooler and enjoy the power and silence of this AIO.”
