Dark Rock 2 Pro is worth buying, for sure

British Kit Guru recommends new cooling flagship

British editors from Kit Guru grabbed one of the brand new Dark Rock Pro 2 coolers from be quiet! and mounted it on top of the new Ivy Bridge processors from Intel. Results were impressive, since they reached 4,7 GHz with a Core i7-3770K, still maintaining a decent noise level. So in the end the Dark Rock Pro 2 got 8,5 out of 10 points and a "worth buying" award.

“Overall we are left with generally positive impressions of the Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 2.  As we have come to expect of Be Quiet! CPU coolers it offers a winning combination of sleek design and solid build quality.  It is sure to compliment most other components aesthetically and the brushed black aluminium finish really looks fantastic.”

Ten coolers in PCGH roundup

be quiet! leaves very good impression with three models

German print magazine PC Games Hardware did a big roundup with 10 recent air coolers in their 05/12 issue. Among them were three be quiet! coolers: the Dark Rock Pro 2, Dark Rock 2 and the Shadow Rock Topflow SR1. All of them managed to compete well and received nice compliments.

“With a maximum of 1.1 Sone, the Dark Rock 2 offers an ideal standard fan. Cooling performance settles between the Shadow Rock Topflow SR1 and the NH-L12, which is fine regarding the very low noise level. Socket support is really good, since it can be mounted on to everything from old Socket 754 up to the new Socket 2011.”

"Noise levels which are barely audible"

British eTeknix is fond of SilentWings 2

The British online magazine eTeknix took the chance to review be quiet!s newest fan series SilentWings 2 in 120 and 140 millimeter sizes. The fans left an impeccable impression. Especially the low noise levels compared to competitors products could impress the editor. So it's no wonder be quiet! received an extreme performance award.

“Acoustic performance of the Silent Wings 2/Dark Wings fans was excellent. At full speed both sizes were significantly quieter than Noctua's NF-S12B and Phanteks' PH-F140TS, fans which operate at a 20% lower speed than the 120mm, 1,500 RPM Be Quiet! variant. The 5V tests saw delta noise levels which were barely audible over the background noise, a feat which every single fan manufacturer would love to acheive.”

Dark Rock Pro considered a "bang for buck" cooler

eTeknix reviews be quiet! Dark Rock Pro C1

British online site eTeknix reviewed the be quiet! Dark Rock Pro C1 and considered it a "bang for buck" cooler. The editors really appreciated the great cooling performance, though be quiet! "only" uses 6 mm heatpipes. They also liked the low noise output and the competitive price tag. Concludingly they give the "aesthetically pleasing" cooler their "Bang For Buck" award.

“Be Quiet! have created a dual tower CPU cooler which utilizes 7 6mm heatpipes and offers excellent cooling performance. [...] The fact that noise output was very low, lower than all of today's dual tower competitors apart from the Silver Arrow, speaks greatly for the quality of Be Quiet!'s Silent Wings fan series.”
