PR & Social Media Manager (f/m) in the USA

Evolving in a fast-paced environment in the field of high tech, technikPR strives to delight its international customers with the PR & Social Media services they need.

Currently, we are looking for a PR & Social Media Manager (f/m) based in the United States of America, to start at soon as possible. An affinity to technology and consumer technology in particular is a bonus.

Ideally, you already possess good experience in PR and have a good network that you can rely on. You are able to create compelling content for various media and you are fluent in English (as the company language is English) and able to work independently on tasks. You are a team player and always looking for new experiences and new ways to achieve the best result.

Experience with journalists’ databases, monitoring tools and other communication tools are a plus.

Here are some tasks, that you should expect:


  • Managing press and providing support
  • Acting as media spokesperson when needed for comment or interview
  • Writing and translating press releases and other information
  • Following-up individually after a newsletter has been sent to increase coverage
  • Maintaining the press list
  • Preparing and creating reports
  • Creating Editorial content
  • Managing regional and international trade shows and events
  • Working closely with regional marketing to support activities

Product sampling

  • Supporting new product launches
  • Educating on the product
  • Avoiding misinformation through constant contact
  • Sending samples
  • Following-up and maintaining sample processes (latest every 2 weeks)
  • Updating the clipping database every day

Social Media and influencers

  • Creation and implementation of content plan
  • Community management
  • Creation of engaging content for various social media pages
  • Creation of visuals for social media
  • Community management
  • Creating, managing and updating editorial calendars for social posts
  • Defining guidelines and applying those defined by client HQ & Global Social Head
  • Running and managing ads campaigns for clients and their associated budgets
  • Reporting on monthly social KPI
  • Reporting on advertising activities on a weekly basis
  • Correspond with external teams in English
  • Supporting partner marketing activities & industry partnerships
  • Exploring ways to expand efforts into new platforms & channels
  • Managing influencers relations

Client lead (when applicable)

  • Full management of the client activity
  • Oversee all aspects of the account - strategy, setting, execution, budgeting, etc.
  • Oversee PR in close conjunction with local PR managers / agencies
  • Gathering information and distributing it to the regional PR Managers
  • Coordinating the team, launches, exhibitions and events
  • Manage and execute the weekly client update call with the team
  • Managing regional reports and sending them out on time
  • Permanent communication with the client
  • Publishing clippings

Your profile:

  • Previous experience in marketing, social & project management
  • Excellent writing skills both in English
  • Good skills with spoken English
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to understand and break down complex processes to explain them in simple language
  • Ability to work in a structured way and solve problems with autonomy
